Terms of Service
Last updated: July 5, 2026
Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of The Supervision App's web application, companion mobile application, and website (together, the "Services"), operated by The Supervision App ("we," "us," or "our").
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.
The Service
The Supervision App is a documentation tool for clinical supervision in Minnesota. It helps supervisors and supervisees log supervision sessions, track hours toward licensure, and generate verification and supervision forms for submission to the applicable licensing board. The Services do not constitute legal, clinical, or licensing advice, and we are not affiliated with the Minnesota Board of Social Work, the Board of Marriage & Family Therapy, or the Board of Behavioral Health & Therapy. You are responsible for confirming that your records and submissions meet your board's requirements.
No Protected Health Information
You must not enter Protected Health Information (PHI) or any client-identifying information into structured fields in the Services. The Supervision App documents the supervisory relationship — not the clinical care a supervisee provides to clients. Do not record client names, initials, dates of birth, contact details, diagnoses, or any other information that identifies or could reasonably be used to identify a supervisee's clients.
You are solely responsible for the content you enter. We may remove content, and may suspend or terminate accounts, where we believe this restriction has been violated. This prohibition is a material term of these Terms.
Accounts
To use the Services you must create an account and provide accurate, current, and complete information, and keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account, and you agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
Supervisors invite supervisees to join. A supervisee's account is provided at no charge; supervisors are the subscribing, paying party.
Subscriptions, Trials, and Payment
The Services are offered to supervisors on a recurring subscription basis at the plans and prices described on our website. Subscriptions renew automatically for the applicable period until canceled. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
We offer a free trial as described at sign-up. Payments are processed by our payment processor, Stripe, and are subject to Stripe's terms. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. We may change our prices; changes apply to billing periods that begin after we provide notice.
License to Use the Services
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for your professional use. You may not:
- Modify, reverse engineer, or disassemble the Services
- Copy or mirror any part of the Services
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose
- Share your account or credentials with others
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services
Your Content
The Services let you create and store supervision records and related content ("User Content"). You retain your rights in your User Content. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display your User Content solely to operate and provide the Services to you and your linked supervisor or supervisee.
You represent and warrant that:
- You have the necessary rights to the content you submit
- Your content does not contain PHI or client-identifying information, consistent with the section above
- Your content does not violate the rights of any person or any applicable law
Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Services in violation of any law or regulation
- Misrepresent your identity, credentials, or professional affiliation
- Interfere with others' use of the Services
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or other users' data
- Harvest information from the Services, including information about other users
Intellectual Property
The Services and their contents, features, and functionality are owned by The Supervision App and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our trademarks, logos, or software except the limited license described above.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if you breach these Terms or to protect the Services or other users. You may stop using the Services and close your account at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated forms will be accepted by any board.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Supervision App and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Services.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice before it takes effect. By continuing to use the Services after changes become effective, you agree to the revised Terms.
